Terms of Service.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of marinaroyalecharters.com and any private yacht charter services provided by Marina Royale Charters ("we," "our," or "us"). By booking a charter or submitting a booking request, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Our Service
Marina Royale Charters provides private, captained yacht charters departing from Marina del Rey, California. Each charter includes a USCG-licensed captain, deck crew, and standard post-charter cleaning. Standard pricing is $650 per hour with a 3-hour minimum. Standard capacity is up to 6 guests; parties larger than 6 require advance arrangement and may incur additional crew fees.
2. Booking and Payment
- You submit a charter request through our website (or by email).
- We confirm availability within one business day.
- Upon confirmation, we send a secure payment link via Stripe.
- Your charter is officially booked only when payment is successfully completed.
- An unpaid request is not a confirmed reservation and does not hold a date or time.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- 7 or more days before scheduled departure: 50% refund
- Within 7 days but more than 48 hours before departure: 25% refund
- Within 48 hours of departure: non-refundable
Rescheduling: Subject to availability, we may permit one (1) rescheduling to a new date within 90 days of the original booking, without penalty, if requested at least 48 hours before the original scheduled departure.
Operator Cancellations. If we cancel a charter due to weather, mechanical issues, captain unavailability, or any safety concern, you will receive a full refund OR your choice of rescheduling, at no penalty.
Weather Discretion. The captain has sole discretion over weather-related decisions. If we determine conditions are unsafe, we will reschedule or refund. If you choose to cancel due to weather forecasts when we have not, the standard customer cancellation policy applies.
4. Arrival, Duration, and Late Arrival
Please arrive at the agreed dock location 15 minutes before scheduled departure. If you arrive late, your charter still ends at the scheduled return time — we cannot extend due to your delay without affecting other operations. No refund or credit is provided for late-arrival time loss.
Charter duration is measured from the scheduled departure time to scheduled return. If you wish to extend on the day of, we will accommodate if scheduling and crew availability permit, billed at the standard hourly rate of $650 per hour.
5. Conduct Aboard
For everyone's safety and enjoyment, all guests agree:
- The captain's instructions on safety, movement, and operations are final and must be followed at all times.
- No illegal substances, no illegal activity, and no behavior that endangers the vessel or its occupants.
- Smoking is permitted only in designated outside areas, never below deck or in the galley.
- Alcohol consumption is at your own discretion and risk. Excessive intoxication that threatens safety may result in the captain returning to dock without refund.
- You are responsible for the conduct of your party, including any minor children, throughout the charter.
Damage. Damage to the vessel, equipment, or furnishings caused by guest negligence, intentional acts, or non-permitted activities is billable to the booking party at full replacement or repair cost.
Refusal of Service. We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate a charter without refund if any guest engages in dangerous, illegal, or abusive behavior, or refuses to follow the captain's instructions.
6. Safety and Liability
Marine recreation involves inherent risks, including but not limited to weather, water conditions, vessel movement, slips and falls, and the unpredictability of the open ocean. By booking a charter, you and all members of your party acknowledge and accept these risks.
Our Commitments
- USCG-compliant safety equipment, including life jackets in appropriate sizes for all guests
- A licensed and qualified captain at all times
- Standard maritime liability insurance per applicable regulations

Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- You agree that Marina Royale Charters, its officers, crew, and contractors are not liable for damages arising from the ordinary risks of marine recreation that have been disclosed or are reasonably foreseeable.
- Our total liability for any claim relating to your charter is limited to the amount you paid for that specific charter.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Nothing in these Terms attempts to waive rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived under maritime law, the Jones Act, or California consumer-protection statutes.
You should consult your own insurance regarding personal coverage. We strongly recommend travel insurance for booked charters.
7. Photography and Media Release
From time to time we may take photographs or video aboard for our marketing materials (website, social media, brand collateral). By participating in a charter, you grant Marina Royale Charters a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use such media without compensation, EXCEPT:

In such cases we will offer rescheduling or refund as described in the Cancellation and Refund Policy section.
